The tulips are up, Spring is here, with summer fast approaching, at Walking Iron B&B– Karisa and I are gearing up for a busy season providing our guests with a relaxing and special stay! After 18 years, we still get excited about a busy summer season- meeting people from around the world.
What’s new with us? Maybe you’ve stayed with us dozens of times, or perhaps we’ll meet in the future- it’s always nice to know your innkeeper (haha)! Our daughter Kaia was married last summer here at the b&b and her husband Kevin, was instrumental in building a beautiful 1000 sq. ft. pergola- of course, it poured and stormed the entire day, but oh! The memories! Our son Zane, a platoon sergeant in the Marines, will be graduating college this year, and our youngest son, Colt, is a finance and economics whiz kid at UW Whitewater. We miss the high school sports and having them here, and we’ll have to admit it’s been a strange transition for us- so, like a lot of couples our age, we’ve had some bumps, but we are also excited about what the future holds for us.
Want to stay in late May? Sorry! We’re shutting down the b&b and traveling to Washington DC, as a family, at the end of May, so it will be fun to be on the other end of the hospitality business. We’re always trying to think of new or different ways to make our guests feel special- sometimes you just have to get away to figure those things out! Maybe when we return, we’ll have some new ideas to improve your experience here at Walking Iron- we look forward to your stay with us! Come and explore our area, we’ll be glad to accommodate your adventure!
